“It’s only impossible until you do it.”
With that message, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Chief Executive Officer, YBhg. Encik Wan Ahmad Saifuddin Wan Ahmad Radzi, called on the UniKL community to move beyond what is merely possible and work towards “making the impossible probable.”
The call came during his first engagement with UniKL staff on 20 August 2026, held in conjunction with the university’s 24th anniversary at Dewan Kuliah Bestari, UniKL City Campus.

The session was also broadcast live to UniKL’s 10 other campuses across Malaysia, bringing the wider university community together for the occasion.
For Mr. Wan Ahmad Saifuddin, UniKL enters this new chapter from a strong foundation.
Reflecting on the university’s 24-year journey, he described UniKL as an institution with a distinctive identity and significant potential to differentiate itself within Malaysia’s higher education landscape.
That uniqueness, he said, lies in UniKL’s highly specialised technical and industry-focused ecosystem.
From aviation, maritime and logistics to halal, food safety, sustainable transport and water technologies, the university possesses areas of expertise that distinguish it from conventional universities and strengthen its position as a leading technical and entrepreneurial university.

“We have to let the outside world know who we are, what we do and what we do well,” said Mr. Wan Ahmad Saifuddin, stressing the need for UniKL to strengthen its visibility and recognition beyond the MARA ecosystem.
Industry recognition will also be central to UniKL’s future direction.
Equally important is preparing students for a rapidly changing world shaped by artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and the future of work.

He urged educators and support staff to nurture curiosity, lifelong learning and critical thinking among students, while continuously updating their own knowledge of industry developments.
The message ultimately centred on collective ambition.
As UniKL advances through its next phase of transformation and globalisation, he called on staff across all campuses to move together, strengthen the university’s competitiveness and build an institution others aspire to emulate.
“We start today,” he said, setting the tone for UniKL’s journey from its 24th anniversary towards an even stronger future.
