Universiti Kuala Lumpur Football Club (UniKL FC) capped an impressive Liga Bola Sepak IPT 2026 Division 1 campaign with a third-place finish, marking its strongest league performance in the past three years.
Held from 13 May to 15 August 2026, the university football league brought together teams representing 13 public and private higher education institutions in Malaysia, providing a competitive platform for student-athletes to demonstrate their sporting ability, discipline and teamwork.

UniKL FC recorded seven wins, four draws and only one defeat throughout the campaign, collecting 25 points to secure third place in Division 1.
The result reflects the team’s resilience and consistency throughout the season, with players demonstrating determination, discipline and a strong collective spirit both on and off the pitch.

The 2026 achievement also highlights UniKL FC’s continued development in university football. The team finished fifth in 2024 and sixth in 2025 before climbing to third place this year, demonstrating its determination to continuously raise its competitive performance.
Beyond the league standings, UniKL FC’s progress reflects Universiti Kuala Lumpur’s commitment to holistic student development, where academic learning is complemented by opportunities in sports, leadership, teamwork and personal development.

The university’s support for competitive sports contributes to a positive student experience while encouraging student-athletes to pursue excellence in both their academic and sporting journeys.
“We are proud of UniKL FC’s achievement in securing third place in the Liga Bola Sepak IPT 2026 Division 1. This success reflects the team’s hard work, discipline and strong team spirit,” said the Director of UniKL Campus Lifestyle Division, Dr. Mohd Faizun Mohamad Yazid.
The achievement supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by encouraging active lifestyles, physical fitness and student well-being, as well as SDG 4: Quality Education, through UniKL’s emphasis on holistic education and the development of well-rounded graduates.
