Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) has carved a proud milestone after being named among the Top 5 institutions in the category of Excellence in Lifelong Learning (PSH) at the inaugural Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Awards 2025.
This marks UniKL’s first participation in the awards, which were organised for the first time by the MQA to recognise higher education providers that demonstrate outstanding quality and impact in their programmes.
The assessment was based on multiple criteria, including the number of programmes offered, the number of participants, feedback from participants, the frequency of training, the diversity of fields covered, and the involvement of trainers.
UniKL’s selection as one of the best universities reflects the institution’s strong commitment to delivering impactful lifelong learning opportunities across its campuses nationwide.

Its wide-ranging programmes have consistently attracted participation from various communities, with trainers and industry experts actively engaged in ensuring the courses meet evolving industry and societal needs.
The MQA Awards 2025 featured several categories, including Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), Lifelong Learning (PSH), and TVET Excellence, with institutions such as Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Open University Malaysia (OUM) also among the top winners.
UniKL’s recognition at this inaugural event further solidifies its role as a leading institution in Malaysia’s higher education landscape, particularly in advancing TVET and lifelong learning initiatives that contribute to nation-building.
