Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) has received the Crystal Jubilee Award at the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIA Malaysia) Corporate Awards 2026, recognising its longstanding support for the internal audit profession and commitment to strengthening good corporate governance.
The recognition was presented during the awards ceremony held on 20 October 2026 at Sheraton Petaling Jaya, Selangor, celebrating UniKL’s sustained engagement with the professional body for more than 15 years.
The Crystal Jubilee Award recognises organisations that have maintained at least 15 years of continuous corporate membership with IIA Malaysia, reflecting their ongoing support for the development and advancement of the internal audit profession.
For UniKL, the recognition represents another institutional milestone in its efforts to strengthen accountability, transparency, effective internal controls and responsible organisational management.

As a higher education institution committed to academic excellence and institutional sustainability, UniKL recognises the importance of sound governance in supporting effective decision-making, risk management and stakeholder confidence.
Central to these efforts is the University’s Internal Audit Department, which supports its governance framework through independent assurance, risk-based assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
The recognition also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, particularly its emphasis on developing effective, accountable and transparent institutions.
It further supports the principles of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through UniKL’s sustained professional engagement with IIA Malaysia and its contribution to the wider internal audit community.
