Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) has again proven its excellence by emerging as the big winner at the prestigious Montibello Power Gen 2025 competition, held at KL Eco City.
Represented by UniKL Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI), the university swept multiple awards, including Most Unique Fashion Design, Most Unique Hairstyle, Best Energy Group, Best Model, and Best Presenter.
Additionally, UniKL secured the coveted First and Second Prize honours.
As part of their triumph, the winning team received cash prizes of RM 2,000 and RM 1,000, along with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Montibello headquarters in Spain and collaborate with Rbeaute on future projects.
Organised by Rbeaute in partnership with Montibello, a leading sustainable hair care brand from Spain, the event showcased groundbreaking creativity and innovation in hairstyling and branding.
The competition was also a collaborative effort between UniKL and Management & Science University (MSU), challenging participants to push boundaries not only in hairstyling but also in ideation, concept development, production management, marketing strategies, and presentation.
This remarkable achievement highlights the exceptional quality of education offered by UniKL MIDI, which provides a Bachelor in Fashion Design with Marketing (Honours).
This three-year, 120-credit programme is tailored for individuals passionate about arts and design, equipping them with the skills to excel in the competitive world of fashion.
