Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UniKL BIS) has achieved a major milestone after its Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Marketing programme received full accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) United Kingdom, the world’s leading professional marketing body.
The accreditation, officially conferred on 31 July 2025, follows a comprehensive programme mapping, quality review, and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between CIM UK and UniKL.
This recognition positions UniKL BIS as a CIM-accredited institution, affirming the international standard and industry relevance of its marketing curriculum.
It also makes UniKL the first and only university among IPMa and Government-Linked Universities (GLUs) in Malaysia to attain this level of CIM UK accreditation.
“This accreditation isn’t just a badge. It’s a faster, clearer route for our marketing students and alumni to earn CIM qualifications and step confidently into industry,” said Dr Arman Ahmad, Fellow and Chartered Marketer (CIM UK), and Person-in-Charge of the Marketing Section at UniKL BIS.
With this recognition, graduates of the BBA (Hons) Marketing programme will receive multiple exemptions for CIM UK modules (Levels 3, 4, and 6), significantly accelerating their pathway toward professional CIM qualifications.
Students may also participate in CIM’s prestigious annual graduation ceremony in Westminster, London, further enhancing their global exposure.
The achievement reflects the strong collaboration among Dr Arman Ahmad and the Marketing Section team, Professor Dr Naziruddin Abdullah, Dean of UniKL BIS, and the Top Management, supported by UniKL’s Board of Directors and President/Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin.
The CIM UK accreditation strengthens UniKL’s position as a leading institution for industry-driven education and supports MARA’s strategic mission to enhance high-impact, industry-relevant education and graduate employability.
