Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) has been recognised with the Bronze award in the Education and Learning category at the prestigious Putra Brand Awards 2025.
The accolade was presented to UniKL President and Chief Executive, Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, during the gala night on 23 January 2024.
“UniKL has won another prestigious award, the Putra Brand Awards. We have been receiving this recognition since 2016, marking a decade of excellence.
“This reflects our promise to deliver quality education to our students and ensure strong employability for all our graduates,” said Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman.
The award was presented by Kristian Lee, Vice President of The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As). Also present was Mr. Abu Bakar Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

Alongside UniKL, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Unitar International University, and University of Nottingham were awarded Bronze, while Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) claimed Silver.
Multimedia University (MMU) and Open University Malaysia (OUM) received Gold, and Sunway University was honoured with Platinum.
UniKL’s journey in the Putra Brand Awards began with a Bronze win in 2016, reflecting its steadfast commitment to brand excellence.
The university secured Silver in 2018 and 2019 and, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, achieved Gold in 2020. In 2022, UniKL reached a new milestone by clinching the Platinum award.

This consistent recognition also includes two Gold wins at the Aria Brand Awards, an initiative under the Putra Brand Awards umbrella, before returning to the Putra Brand Awards with a Silver win in 2024.
The Putra Brand Awards, Malaysia’s only brand awards endorsed by MATRADE and supported by the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), Media Specialists Association (MSA), and Malaysian Digital Association (MDA), recognises brands that resonate strongly with consumers.
This recognition reflects UniKL’s ongoing efforts to expand its brand reach by offering quality education, in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
Note: In line with Malaysia’s aspiration to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) continues to strengthen and expand its efforts through various initiatives. This article particularly supports SDG 4: Quality Education.
