A total of 180 students from Sarawak, currently pursuing their studies at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), have received financial assistance from Yayasan Sarawak.
The aid is aimed at easing their educational expenses and empowering them to continue their academic journey with confidence.
According to UniKL Campus Lifestyle Division (CLD) Director, Dr. Mohd Faizun Mohamad Yazid, the university is deeply grateful to Yayasan Sarawak for its generous contribution and continuous support, particularly through the recent ‘Majlis Bantuan Kewangan Khas Pelajar Sarawak di IPT Malaysia’.
“This meaningful occasion marks another milestone in the close and impactful collaboration between Yayasan Sarawak and UniKL.
“The financial assistance reflects Yayasan Sarawak’s strong commitment to educational equity and student welfare—especially for students from underserved communities in Sarawak.
“UniKL is honoured to be among the institutions entrusted to channel this support directly to anak-anak Sarawak,” he said.
Beyond this financial aid, Yayasan Sarawak has long been a valuable partner in UniKL’s mission to uplift students through various programmes and opportunities, including scholarship sponsorships and student development initiatives.
This partnership not only fosters academic success but also enhances the overall well-being of Sarawakian students across UniKL campuses in Malaysia.
