Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) recorded approximately RM20,000 in sales through its student entrepreneurship initiative at V.I.B.E. 2026, demonstrating how experiential learning can equip graduates with practical business skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Organised by UniKL’s Teknoputra Division, the two-day Visionary, Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship (V.I.B.E.) 2026 programme was held on 19 and 20 October 2026 at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI) in Kulim, Kedah.
The event brought together students, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, alumni and strategic partners, creating a platform for business innovation, entrepreneurship education, industry collaboration and networking.

The programme was officially inaugurated by Encik Mohd Azam Jamaluddin, Director of the Business Financing Division at Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), highlighting the agency’s continued commitment to nurturing aspiring entrepreneurs and strengthening collaboration with higher education institutions.
A major highlight was the GP Create Lab, an experiential entrepreneurship platform that enabled UniKL student entrepreneurs, known as Genesispreneurs (GP), to showcase their products, interact directly with customers and experience real business operations.
The initiative generated approximately RM20,000 in total sales, reflecting the commercial opportunities that can emerge when students are given a platform to test their entrepreneurial ideas in a real market environment.

Beyond sales, students gained firsthand experience in product positioning, customer engagement, marketing strategies, sales management and market validation, transforming classroom knowledge into practical business competencies.
The programme also featured the Mega Teknoputra Coffee Talk, bringing together industry experts and established entrepreneurs to share insights on innovation, business development, career opportunities and the evolving demands of the business landscape.
Speakers and panellists represented organisations including Hexachamp Sdn. Bhd., Continental Tyre, Global Electronics Association, Infineon, HPA International, Syahidah Foods and Rural Capital Berhad, alongside representatives from MARA.
Through interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants explored entrepreneurial challenges, emerging market opportunities and the importance of adaptability, innovation and resilience in building sustainable businesses.

The engagement also provided opportunities for students to connect with industry practitioners, exchange ideas and build professional networks that could support their future entrepreneurial ambitions.
More importantly, V.I.B.E. 2026 reinforced UniKL’s approach to entrepreneurship education by combining academic knowledge, industry exposure and practical business experiences.
Rather than viewing entrepreneurship solely as an alternative career path, the initiative encouraged students to develop the creativity, leadership and commercial awareness required to translate innovative ideas into economic value.
By encouraging student-led enterprise and experiential learning, UniKL continues to strengthen its contribution to graduate entrepreneurship, innovation-driven economic development and talent development in Malaysia.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through practical entrepreneurship education and skills development, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by promoting entrepreneurship, productive economic activities and business development.
It also supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through innovation-driven entrepreneurial activities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering collaboration between academia, industry and entrepreneurship support agencies.
