Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) welcomed the Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), General Dato’ Sri Haji Muhamad Norazlan Aris RMAF, to its Subang campus on 30 October 2025.
The visit served as a platform to further strengthen strategic collaboration between UniKL MIAT and RMAF in advancing Malaysia’s aviation training, research, and technology ecosystem.

During the visit, the RMAF delegation toured UniKL MIAT’s key facilities, including the Teaching Factory Pen Aviation Sdn. Bhd., Hammock Helicopter Sdn. Bhd., Galaxy Aerospace (M) Sdn. Bhd., as well as the composite and sheet metal workshops, which are major technical training hubs supporting the nation’s aerospace industry.
A briefing session was conducted by UniKL Deputy President (Academic & Technology) Prof. Dr. Kushsairy Kadir and UniKL MIAT Dean, Dr. Mohd Hafizi Shamsudin, who highlighted UniKL MIAT’s capabilities, capacity, and strategic direction in producing highly skilled aviation professionals.

The visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening UniKL MIAT’s collaboration with national defence agencies, reflecting UniKL’s commitment under MARA Corporation to continuously advance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with a strong emphasis on aerospace technology.
Also in attendance were MARA Corp Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Yahaya Sani, senior management representatives from UniKL and UniKL MIAT, as well as senior leadership from the RMAF.
