In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, private clinic assistants and owners play an increasingly vital role in ensuring accessible, efficient, and patient-centred care.
Recognising this need, Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) took the initiative to organise the Kursus dan Bengkel Peningkatan Kemahiran Pembantu Klinik Swasta 2025, a training and upskilling programme dedicated to strengthening the competencies of private clinic personnel.
Held at the Auditorium of Kolej Profesional MARA Bandar Melaka, Melaka, the full-day event drew 50 participants comprising clinic assistants and clinic owners.
According to the Centre for Advancement and Continuing Education (ACE) at UniKL RCMP, attendees engaged in interactive, hands-on activities focusing on accurate documentation, risk management, and enhancing the patient experience—all critical components in delivering efficient and safe medical care.

The training was led by Dr. Faizal Mat Arifin, Deputy Director of Health (Medical) at the Selangor State Health Department.
His session covered essential topics including clinic operational best practices, regulatory compliance under the Cawangan Kawalan Amalan Perubatan Swasta (CKAPS), patient safety, infection control, and the delivery of quality healthcare services.
“This programme was designed to enhance the knowledge, technical skills, and governance practices of private clinic assistants, reinforcing their role in ensuring safe and high-quality medical services,” the centre said in a statement.
