Opening a private medical clinic requires careful planning and a clear understanding of regulatory, business, and sustainability practices.
To support medical practitioners in this process, Advanced Continuing Education (ACE) from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) hosted a one-day seminar on 25 January 2026.
The seminar provided insights into establishing and managing a private clinic efficiently while adhering to the latest standards.
Led by YBrs. Dr. Faizal Mat Arifin, Deputy Director of the Private Medical Practice Control Section, Ministry of Health Malaysia, the session focused on CKAPS guidelines, including registration procedures, operational requirements, and compliance best practices.
Participants also explored business development, financing options, marketing strategies, and sustainable clinic practices, such as energy-efficient operations and responsible resource management.
The seminar offered a comprehensive roadmap for private medical practitioners, combining regulatory guidance, business insights, and sustainability principles for long-term clinic success.
It also reinforced continuous professional development and equipped participants with practical knowledge to manage clinics responsibly and sustainably, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
