Five students from UniKL Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC) participated actively in the Johor State-Level Angkatan Mahasiswa Anti Rasuah (AMAR) Camp, held at SIREH Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

This two-day event, organised in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Johor, aimed to instil integrity, ethical leadership, and resilience among youth.

Students engaged in challenging and interactive activities such as the Explorace Integriti, night walks, survival skill training, and a detailed corruption-awareness session conducted by MACC officers.

The participants, representing various higher education institutions across Johor, including UTM, UTHM, KKTM, IKM, KPTM, KPM, and KYPJ, collectively strengthened their resolve against corruption through practical experiences and teamwork.

The strategic collaboration between UniKL MITEC and MACC Johor underscores UniKL’s steadfast commitment to nurturing ethical, proactive leaders.

This initiative contributes directly to the governance dimension of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and aligns strongly with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Moreover, this student-led initiative aligns seamlessly with UniKL’s Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP), which promotes integrity, transparency, and ethical governance across the institution.

Highlighting the transformative impact of the camp, Aiman Noor Hafez, President of the AMAR Club at UniKL MITEC expressed a newfound understanding of integrity.

“Before this camp, I thought integrity was just a word. Now, it’s part of who I am. Leadership is not about being the loudest; it’s about being the most honest,” said him.

Meanwhile, Dr. Khairul Firdaus Adrutdin, Deputy Dean of Student Development & Campus Lifestyle at UniKL MITEC, stated that the collaboration with MACC Johor through the AMAR programme underscores the campus’s deep commitment to nation-building through education.
