A lecturer from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), Ms. Azila Ayub, was honoured with the prestigious Star of WiLAT Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to advancing women’s leadership and empowerment within the logistics and transport industry.
The award was presented during the President’s Dinner at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) International Convention 2025, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 15 to 17 September 2025.

Carrying the theme “Future Ready Logistics: Embracing Change and Driving Sustainability,” the convention brought together global leaders, policymakers, and professionals to discuss the evolving landscape of logistics and transport.
Receiving the award on such a prestigious international platform marked not only a personal milestone for Ms. Azila but also underscored Malaysia’s growing role in shaping global conversations on diversity, sustainability, and future-ready leadership within the sector.
The three-day convention featured keynote speeches, high-level panel discussions, and workshops organised by Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) and Next Generation, providing participants with opportunities to explore emerging trends, foster collaborations, and strengthen the global logistics community.
