Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), through its Centre for Innovative Digital Education and Emerging Technology (CIDEX), successfully co-organised the 66th Majlis Ketua-Ketua E-Pembelajaran IPTA Malaysia (MEIPTA) Committee Meeting and workshop in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).
Held on 11–12 February 2026 at the UniKL Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (MIAT), Subang Campus, the meeting marked the first MEIPTA committee meeting for 2026, bringing together national leaders in digital education from public universities and Government-Linked Universities (GLUs).
The event served as an important national platform to strengthen collaboration, align digital education strategies, and support Malaysia’s higher education digital transformation agenda.
The meeting provided a strategic forum for academic and digital learning leaders to deliberate on key priorities, including digital learning governance, integrated learning management system strategies and the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance educational delivery and student learning experience.
Importantly, hosting the meeting at UniKL MIAT also created a significant institutional impact by showcasing the campus’ capability to deliver industry-relevant, technology-driven education.
Delegates were given the opportunity to experience MIAT’s advanced aviation facilities, including aircraft hangars, laboratories, and training aircraft used in hands-on teaching and learning.
This exposure strengthened UniKL MIAT’s visibility and reputation as a premier aviation education provider in Malaysia. It also reinforced MIAT’s position as a strategic UniKL campus contributing not only to technical excellence but also to national leadership in digital education innovation.
This initiative reflects UniKL’s continued commitment to advancing digital education, strengthening Government-Linked University participation in national academic initiatives, and showcasing the strengths of its specialised institutes, including MIAT, in supporting Malaysia’s future-ready workforce and digital education ecosystem.
