Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UniKL BIS) brought the values of ethical leadership, social responsibility and holistic education into focus as its students took part in Malaysia #QuranHour 2026 on 30 August 2026.

Representing the university through the Al-Falah Society Club, the students joined thousands of Malaysians at Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah, Presint Merdeka 118, for the national gathering centred on Quranic reflection, spiritual development and community engagement.

The programme was graced by Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Raja Permaisuri Agong, who joined the congregation in the Quran recitation and Tadabbur session.

Also present were the Minister of Communications, YB Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzi, government representatives and other distinguished guests.

Themed “Rise Towards a Prosperous Malaysia,” Malaysia #QuranHour 2026 was organised by the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and the National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) 2026 Committee.

Beyond the recitation of the Quran, participants reflected on selected verses from Surah Al-Muzzammil, Surah Al-Balad and Surah Al-Baqarah.

The Tadabbur sessions explored values including resilience, discipline, compassion, social responsibility and ethical leadership — qualities that are equally relevant to students preparing to become future business professionals and organisational leaders.

For UniKL Business School students, the programme offered an opportunity to connect spiritual understanding with the wider responsibilities of leadership, decision-making and service to society.

The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education through holistic and values-based learning, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through the promotion of ethical leadership, responsible citizenship and strong moral values.

Malaysia #QuranHour 2026 also gained nationwide reach through broadcasts and digital coverage by RTM, TV AlHijrah, Astro Oasis, Sinar Harian’s digital platforms and radio stations, enabling Malaysians beyond the physical venue to participate in the programme.
