The International Mobility Programme 2025 to Huashang Vocational College in Guangzhou has created a timely platform for knowledge exchange between Malaysia and China, particularly in the logistics sector.
Spearheaded by Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC), the programme brought 20 students to China to gain hands-on experience and broaden their understanding of modern logistics practices.
Led by Mr. Rohaizan Ahmad, Coordinator of International Partnerships, and Dr. Muhammad Azmi, Head of Section for Industrial Linkages at UniKL MITEC, the students visited JD Logistic Park and attended sessions on the latest supply chain trends.

In addition, they immersed themselves in Chinese culture through calligraphy, tea artistry, and pastry making.
“The programme was inspired by our shared goal of enhancing students’ learning experiences through international engagement.
“Recognising the importance of global mobility in higher education, UniKL and Huashang Vocational College aimed to provide students with opportunities to explore emerging technologies, learn from international institutions, and experience a new cultural environment.

This initiative reflects both institutions’ commitment to preparing students for a globalised future, where cross-cultural skills and international exposure are increasingly valuable,” said Mr. Rohaizan.
The International Mobility Programme 2025 is part of UniKL MITEC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ global exposure and develop robust partnerships with international institutions.

Huashang Vocational College was chosen as a partner due to its strong focus on practical industrial training and cultural programmes.
The programme builds on prior collaborative engagements and aims to provide students with a holistic experience that combines academic learning, hands-on industrial exposure, and cultural immersion.
