Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is celebrating the success of 6,872 graduates at its 22nd Convocation Ceremony, held from 1 to 5 November 2025 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTC KL).
The figure marks an increase from the Class of 2024, bringing UniKL’s global alumni network to 98,664 graduates.
The graduates received Doctor of Philosophy, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Diploma, and Professional Certificate qualifications in diverse fields, including engineering technology, business, information technology, and health sciences.
The opening session was graced by YB Datuk Hajah Rubiah Haji Wang, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, who delivered the opening address and presented scrolls to 615 graduates, including 30 outstanding graduates from the Class of 2025.

“This session also marks another milestone for UniKL, as we celebrate a total of 48 pioneer graduates from four newly introduced Master’s degree programmes offered by the university.
We also take pride in the achievements of the Huffaz Technologist programme graduates offered at UniKL,” she said while officiating the first session.
The ceremony also welcomed several distinguished diplomatic representatives, including Mr. Danang Waskito from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Elwaleed Sayed Mohamed Ali Besheer from the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan, and Mr. Haytham Amed Abdelghany Mohammed from the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Also present were senior officials from the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), and MARA Corporation Sdn Bhd, along with members of the UniKL Board of Directors and YBhg. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, President/Chief Executive Officer of UniKL.
This year, Ainin Sofea Lyndley, a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Marine) graduate from the UniKL Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), received the Chancellor’s Award, while the Special Ulul Albab Award was presented to Abdullah Umar Zainul Akramin Al-Hafiz, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) graduate from the UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP).

Ainin Sofea distinguished herself with outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements. She recently received the Excellence Award at the 36th Annual Dinner of the Malaysia Joint Branch RINA–IMarEST on 25 October, recognising her excellence and dedication in marine engineering.
Today, she continues her late father’s legacy as Director and Engineer at Chemtech Water Technology and Tekchem Water Technology, while co-founding a new company, Lyndex Engineering Technology, where she serves as Managing Partner.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Umar successfully balanced his medical studies with Quran memorisation.
The MBBS graduate from UniKL RCMP earned his Tahfiz Al-Quran Certificate after passing the Huffaz Professional Aptitude Test (HPAT) with a Jayyid Jiddan (Very Good) grade.
