Hayatul Nabihah Khairul Anwar, a Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) alumna, is helping to transform learning through virtual reality with the launch of VR Goolee, an interactive educational innovation designed to strengthen higher-order thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
The innovation was developed in collaboration with Goolee founder Dr Kamarulzzaman Ahmad and Iskandar Zulqanain from the Bachelor of Interactive Multimedia Design programme at UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT).
VR Goolee was officially launched on 25 June 2026 by Perak Menteri Besar YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, in the presence of MARA Chairman Datuk Wira Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dato’ Dusuki.
The launch was also attended by strategic partners, educators, entrepreneurs and members of the innovation community.
Designed as an immersive digital experience, VR Goolee turns learning into an interactive adventure. It encourages users to analyse situations, solve challenges and make decisions in a virtual environment.

For the record, Hayatul Nabihah is the Chief Executive Officer of Goolee Sdn Bhd and a graduate of UniKL’s Bachelor of Business Technology programme, Class of 2017.
She was also recognised as the recipient of the Anugerah Ikon Keusahawanan (TVET Wanita) UniKL 2025 for her achievements in entrepreneurship and her contribution to the advancement of women in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Her involvement in VR Goolee highlights the contribution of UniKL alumni to educational technology, entrepreneurship and digital innovation.
It also shows how industry-relevant education can equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to develop solutions for real-world needs.
Supported by MARA Perak, the initiative contributes to local innovation, technology talent development and the growth of Malaysia’s digital economy.
VR Goolee represents another example of UniKL alumni applying their education beyond the classroom to create businesses, introduce new technologies and contribute to society.
