Individuals and organisations that contribute to Yayasan UniKL, the philanthropic arm of Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), can now apply for tax exemption through the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
Yayasan UniKL has officially been granted tax-exempt status, effective for five years from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030.
This milestone is expected to boost the foundation’s fundraising efforts and serve as a strong incentive for individuals and corporations to contribute towards its charitable initiatives.
To date, Yayasan UniKL has consistently channelled funds to various social responsibility programmes such as Food for Love, scholarships, industrialmanship initiatives, and community-based projects.
In 2024 alone, Yayasan UniKL successfully raised over RM122,000 through public donations, UniKL staff salary deductions, and zakat contributions.
To qualify for the tax exemption, donors must provide Yayasan UniKL with their full name, identification card or registration number, and full address.
For further inquiries or to submit donor information, please contact nur.emalina@unikl.edu.my or call +603-2175 4351.
