The Centre for Advancement & Continuing Education (ACE) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI) has successfully concluded a specialised professional certification programme in collaboration with In-Tech Electronics Sdn Bhd.
Focusing on the Advanced Certificate in Design and Manufacturing of High-Performance Cables for Next-Generation Data Transmission, the initiative was developed jointly by UniKL MSI academic experts and In-Tech Electronics to upskill industry personnel in the area.

The programme was fully sponsored by the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) under its Advanced Technology Meister Programme, reinforcing ongoing efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s technical workforce.
Conducted over eight days between April and May 2026, the programme brought together 25 participants from In-Tech Electronics to advance its employees’ capabilities in high-performance electrical and electronic manufacturing.
Participants underwent a series of structured technical modules covering key areas such as high-speed data transmission cable technologies, cable performance optimisation through selection and dimensioning, integrated design and manufacturing for next-generation cabling, and data communications with TCP/IP protocol systems.

Speaking on the programme, Head of Campus/Dean of UniKL MSI, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Nizam Ahmad said the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening industry-oriented education and enhancing technical competencies within the electrical and electronics sector.
He noted that such collaborations play a key role in bridging academic expertise with industry practices, while positioning UniKL MSI as a driver of advanced technical training in the northern region.

“We would also like to extend our appreciation to NCIA for its financial support and approval, noting that such multi-stakeholder collaboration between academia, industry, and government agencies is essential in developing highly skilled technical talent for Malaysia’s future industries,” he said.
The programme concluded with a closing ceremony on 16 May 2026, jointly organised with In-Tech Electronics.
