UniKL was among the esteemed list of institutions that received recognition at the awards, including Open University Malaysia (OUM) which secured the Gold award, Silver went to UCSI University, while Bronze was shared by International Medical University (IIUM), INTI Educational Group and Management & Science University (MSU).
UniKL Deputy President (Academic & Technology), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kushsairy Abdul Kadir and Deputy President (International, Industrial and Institutional Partnership), Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin received the award on behalf of UniKL.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kushsairy acknowledged that the award was a testament to the collective effort and dedication of the UniKL community in building and strengthening the university’s brand.
“We express our gratitude to the Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) for recognising UniKL with the Gold Putra Aria Brand Awards.”
“I think this represents the accumulated effort of UniKL family, to be the most trusted branding and premier education university,” he told.
In addition to the educational institutions, a number of well-known brands were also recognised for their excellence in various categories, including Volvo, Continental, Dettol, Berita Harian, Firefly, U Mobile, Burger King and Lotus’s, all of whom were announced as Gold winners in their respective categories.
The Aria Brand Awards, a brainchild of the Putra Brand Awards, was established to acknowledge and reward the efforts of marketers in brand building by recognising more winners in the industry.
UniKL has been on a steady trajectory of success at the Putra Brand Awards, starting with a Bronze award in 2016.
As the university’s brand continued to grow and evolve, UniKL was awarded Silver in 2018 and 2019 for the same category.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, UniKL’s brand continued to soar, with the university winning the Putra Brand Gold Award in 2020.
Building on this momentum, last year, UniKL further cemented its position as a leading brand, winning the prestigious Putra Brand Platinum Award and being recognised as the People’s Choice.
