Despite suffering a finger dislocation during the final match, Muhammad Hakimi Ali Kasim showed remarkable grit and determination to secure a bronze medal at the Kejohanan Pemilihan Pesilat SUKMA Kuala Lumpur 2025.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (International Business) student overcame not only his injury but also the intense demands of rigorous training while balancing his academic responsibilities alongside tough physical preparation.
“My background in taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and silat played a crucial role in my adaptability and strength,” said Hakimi, a member of the Beast Fighter Silat Club from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UniKL BIS).
Muhammad Hakimi’s achievement was part of a strong showing by UniKL BIS, which also celebrated a silver medal won by Nurina Aiman Rostam at the Malaysia Open Naga Sakti Malaysia Junior Silat Championship League 2nd Series 2025.

Both final matches took place concurrently on 4 May 2025 in the Klang Valley.
The Kejohanan Pemilihan Pesilat SUKMA Kuala Lumpur 2025 serves as the selection tournament to identify the best silat exponents to represent Kuala Lumpur at the upcoming 3-Wilayah Silat Selection Championship, scheduled for June 2025 in Labuan.
