Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) through its Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT), in partnership with UCrest Berhad, marked a significant milestone with the launch of a ‘Digital Clinic’ teaching factory on September 24.
Located on level 16 of the UniKL MIIT campus, the Digital Clinic offers students the convenience of online medical consultations via the iMedic app, available on Google Play and the Apple Store.
According to Ts. Dr. Farahwahida Mohd @ Abu Bakar, Head of Industrial Linkages at UniKL MIIT, students can choose between visiting the physical clinic or accessing the digital platform.
“The digital clinic operates just like a traditional clinic, allowing students to select their preferred doctor and consult virtually.
“The key difference is that prescribed medications are delivered to the student’s registered home address on the same day. Additionally, if medical leave is required, the clinic will email the medical certificate directly to the student,” Dr. Farahwahida explained.
The project, also supported by Ts. Alia Amira Abd Rahman, Industrial Linkages Coordinator at UniKL MIIT, highlights the collaboration between UniKL and UCrest Berhad to explore opportunities across sectors such as healthcare, technology, and manufacturing.
This partnership positions both institutions at the forefront of industry innovation, aiming to open new pathways for collaboration and growth.
