Yayasan Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Yayasan UniKL) reaffirmed its commitment to community well-being and social inclusion by supporting the Cerebral Palsy Symposium 2026 as one of its sponsors.
The event was held on 9 October 2026 at the Selangor International Trade Centre (SITC), Shah Alam.
The symposium, themed “Unified Care for Cerebral Palsy: Advancing Lifelong Care, Inclusion & Possibilities,” brought together healthcare professionals, academics, researchers, therapists, caregivers and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to explore ways to improve lifelong care and support for individuals with cerebral palsy (CP).
Discussions focused on the importance of coordinated healthcare, rehabilitation and community support in improving quality of life and creating greater opportunities for individuals with cerebral palsy.
The symposium also highlighted the role of collaboration between healthcare providers, educational institutions and community organisations in addressing the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities throughout different stages of life.
For Yayasan UniKL, supporting the initiative reflects its broader commitment to making a meaningful difference beyond educational assistance.
Through community engagement and strategic partnerships, the foundation continues to support initiatives that promote equal opportunities, empower underserved communities and encourage greater participation among individuals of different abilities.

The initiative also aligns with Universiti Kuala Lumpur’s (UniKL) commitment to advancing social responsibility, community well-being and sustainable development through partnerships that extend the university’s positive impact beyond the classroom.
By supporting platforms that encourage knowledge exchange and collective action, Yayasan UniKL hopes to contribute towards a more inclusive society where individuals with disabilities have greater opportunities to participate, develop and thrive.
The initiative contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through its emphasis on lifelong healthcare and rehabilitation; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by promoting disability inclusion and equitable opportunities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration among healthcare professionals, educational institutions and community organisations.
