Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET) explored potential collaboration with the Petroleum Industry Marine Mutual Aid Group (PIMMAG) following a working visit to the group’s headquarters in Port Dickson.
The engagement included discussions on collaboration in training, research, knowledge transfer, and capacity building, with both parties expressing interest in strengthening cooperation to enhance maritime education and sector capabilities.

The delegation, led by Ts. Dr. Zaimi Zainal Mukhtar, Dean and Head of Campus of UniKL MIMET, included senior faculty and heads of research, industrial linkages, and continuing education sections.
They were received by Mr. Zalisyam Zahari, Head of PIMMAG, and Mr. Wan Mohd Azman Wan Moktar, Centre of Excellence Manager.

During the four-hour visit, the delegation participated in an “Outdoor Classroom” session at PIMMAG’s Port Dickson Base, observing demonstrations of oil spill response equipment and deployment strategies.
The session provided practical exposure to real-world marine environmental protection operations.
