Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) takes pride in its fresh graduates, who are among the most sought-after by prominent graduate recruiters, according to the data-driven employability ratings TalentBank.
In the 2024 Employer’s Choice of University list, UniKL stands alongside esteemed institutions such as Management & Science University (MSU), Multimedia University (MMU), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Sunway University, Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
This list provides prospective university students with insights into which institutions are favoured by employers, helping them make well-informed decisions to enhance their job prospects after graduation.
The insights are derived from the Talentbank National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index), which evaluates the employability of graduates throughout Malaysia.
The GE Index offers a holistic view of how well universities are preparing their students for the workforce.
Its methodology includes identifying universities that employers typically recruit from, quantifying the number of graduates hired from each university, and evaluating the frequency of recurring hires based on positive performance.
This comprehensive career planning tool aims to significantly reduce graduate unemployment in Malaysia by aligning educational outcomes with market hiring demands.
UniKL was awarded the 2024 Employer’s Choice of University, with its President/Chief Executive Officer, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, accepting the award at a ceremony on May 2, 2024.
Dr. Azman expressed gratitude to industry partners for hiring UniKL graduates, highlighting the university’s impressive employability rate of 97.1%.

Previously, UniKL was recognised as the Graduates’ Choice of Employers to Work For within the Private Higher Education Institution category.
This prestigious accolade was conferred during Talentbank’s Graduates’ Choice Award (GCA) Gala Night on December 6, 2023, celebrated as the most esteemed and influential graduate employer branding accolade across the Asia-Pacific region.
