Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) welcomed students and faculty members from Lovely Professional University (LPU), India, for an academic exchange visit that combined artificial intelligence, sustainable development and Malaysian culture.
The visit began with a campus tour and an introduction to the Centre for Knowledge Artificial Intelligence, Learning & Automation (UniKL KAiLA) where the delegation gained insights into UniKL MIIT’s innovation ecosystem and work in artificial intelligence.
A key highlight was an interactive session titled “AI for Sustainable Development: Malaysia–India Student Collaboration.”

Students from both universities discussed how AI-based solutions could help address challenges related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The session provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives and explore opportunities for future collaboration between Malaysia and India.

Beyond the academic activities, the delegation participated in a “Getting to Know Malaysia” session and a traditional batik painting workshop. The activities introduced participants to Malaysia’s cultural heritage while encouraging interaction and friendship among the students.
The programme reflects UniKL MIIT’s efforts to provide students with greater international exposure through academic partnerships, collaborative learning and cultural exchange.
