A total of 119 members of the Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET) community came forward to donate blood during the Health Carnival & Wellness Day 2026, reflecting strong awareness and support for community health initiatives.
Organised by the Counselling and Career Guidance Unit of UniKL MICET in collaboration with the Peers Guidance Vanguard (PGV) Club and Community Service subject students, the programme successfully attracted 509 participants throughout the day.

The blood donation campaign emerged as one of the main highlights of the programme, held in collaboration with several external agencies, including the Department of Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank), Hospital Melaka, Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (PKD) Alor Gajah, and Klinik Kesihatan Simpang Empat, Alor Gajah.
Various activities were organised throughout the programme to promote greater awareness of physical and mental well-being among students and staff. These included free health screening sessions, health exhibitions on the dangers of smoking and vaping, as well as mental health awareness exhibitions.

As part of the programme, PKD Alor Gajah also contributed a new “No Smoking” signboard to UniKL MICET in support of efforts to cultivate a healthier and smoke-free campus environment.
In addition, students presented educational exhibitions focusing on healthy eating practices, sleep habits, Malay heritage and other wellness-related topics. Interactive activities such as art therapy and wellness games were also conducted, creating a more engaging and meaningful experience for participants.
