Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) continues to advance its internationalisation agenda by hosting visiting academics, reinforcing its commitment to academic quality and global engagement.
Such initiatives support the exchange of knowledge, broaden academic perspectives, and expose students and faculty to diverse approaches in teaching, research, and industry practices.
Recently, UniKL Business School welcomed Professor Dr. Monica Violeta Achim from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She was in residence from 6 to 10 April 2026.

Professor Monica is a recognised scholar and recipient of the Prize for Excellence in Scientific Research (2020) awarded by her home university.
During her visit, she contributed to several academic and student-focused engagements.
She conducted a workshop titled “How to Write Academic Research” for postgraduate students and lecturers, together with Prof. Dr. Ilham Sentosa and Prof. Dr. Farid Shamsudin.

She also delivered a lecture to Accounting students (Audit 2) covering Economic and Financial Crime, Sustainability, and Good Governance. This was followed by sessions on Financial Statements and Cash Flow Analysis, where she incorporated case studies and recent research findings to support learning.
In addition to her academic engagements, Professor Monica had the opportunity to experience elements of Malaysian culture during her stay.
The visit reflects UniKL’s continued efforts to strengthen international academic collaboration and enhance the quality of its teaching and learning environment through global exposure.
