Coming across a brochure which detailed an opportunity to further higher learning studies in France piqued the interest of an 18-year-old girl from Klang Valley to set off to Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI).
As a top scorer in History subject during high school, it has always been Chan Yi Xuan’s dream to embark on the science politics field, hence the Science Politics and Business Management Foundation (SPBM) that she took under the UniKL MFI’s Pre-France programme.
“After finishing Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), I stumbled upon a brochure by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) and eventually I passed the interview for a scholarship to further my studies in France.
“I would like to say thank you UniKL MFI for giving me this opportunity,” told Yi Xuan, one of the Best Student recipients during the ‘Appreciation and Certificate Presentation Ceremony For UniKL MFI Pre-France Programmes 2022’ event, today (23 August 2022).
She was among the 69 students who successfully graduated from the 13-month preparatory programme at UniKL MFI.
Muhammad Afif Nazrin Rahmat – the Best Student recipient for Foundation in Engineering, meanwhile, attributes his success to the hard effort in putting in an all-nighter during the course of his studies.
“I feel very relieved to successfully finish this programme because it is very challenging. I never had a full rest sleep throughout this pursuit.
“This is an exciting time for me because I will be studying in France, and I hope that I will be able to complete it and fulfil my dream,” told the 18-year-old student.
The SPBM Pre-France students are flying to the republic country tonight, whilst the engineering students are expected to leave next week.
The Pre-France Preparatory programmes have been initiated to facilitate further studies in France.
This programme’s success has opened up better prospects, and more French universities are seeking to partner with UniKL.
