Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Azman Ismail from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET) has been appointed as an External Advisor for the Bachelor of Welding Technology with Honours (BMIK) programme at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).
This appointment reflects his recognised expertise and valuable contributions to advancing technical education.

Dr. Azman, who previously served as a technical advisor for Kolej Vokasional Seri Iskandar—where his guidance helped the college secure accreditation for welding subjects—is now lending his expertise to UTeM’s Fakulti Teknologi dan Kejuruteraan Industri dan Pembuatan (FTKIP).
He recently participated in a one-day workshop at UTeM’s Technology Campus on 15 May 2025, focusing on reviewing and enhancing the BMIK curriculum.

His role involved providing detailed feedback on curriculum structure, Work-Based Learning (WBL), Industrial Training programmes, and recommendations for upgrading laboratory equipment and systems to ensure alignment with current industry standards and course syllabi.
Dr. Azman’s input is crucial for UTeM’s upcoming submission of the TVET Conversion Form SRR02, aimed at aligning the programme with industry needs and improving the quality of technical education.
The workshop also fostered collaboration among programme lecturers, management, and industry advisors to ensure the curriculum meets evolving educational and industrial demands.
