Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) has once again marked a remarkable deed when it remains to be listed among the best global universities.
Based on the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2023 report published on 12 October 2022, UniKL is ranked 1201-1500, and 14th in the group of Malaysia’s best universities that are listed.
Even more rewarding when UniKL is listed along with three other IPTS under the alliance of government-linked universities (GLUs) namely Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UniTEN), and Universiti Multimedia (MMU).
For the record, THE World University Rankings 2023 include 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date.
All universities including UniKL were assessed based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas which are teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Following this significant feat, UniKL continues to intensify its efforts in improving its international reputation through a network of collaborations with world-renowned universities and organisations locally and abroad.
UniKL, as Malaysia’s leading technical university, is also amplifying its efforts to increase the number of international student enrolment.
In the meantime, UniKL aspires to be listed among the world’s top 600 universities by 2025.
