Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) has soared to victory as the overall champion of the 6th Sukan Staf Universiti Kuala Lumpur (SSUK), reclaiming the prestigious title after an 18-year wait.
The campus first made history in 2007 as the inaugural SSUK overall champion, winning two golds in Netball and Badminton and a silver in Football.
This year, UniKL MIAT demonstrated its dominance again, securing the championship title and ending UniKL City Campus’s reign, which had held the title for two consecutive editions in 2013 and 2015.
Trailing closely behind was UniKL Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI), clinching 1 gold and 1 bronze.
Sharing the third-place position were UniKL Chancellery, UniKL Business School (UBIS), UniKL Institute of Medical Science Technology (UniKL MESTECH), and UniKL British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI), each securing 1 gold medal.
UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) landed in fourth place, followed by UniKL Malaysian Institute of Chemical & Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET), UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC), and UniKL Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI).
The much-anticipated SSUK made a thrilling comeback this year after a decade-long hiatus, featuring an expanded lineup of seven sports.
Three new additions—Petanque, Chess, and Volleyball—joined the staple events of Football, Netball, Badminton, and Bowling.
For the record, the 2025 edition of SSUK brought together 702 athletes from 12 campuses and the Chancellery.
