The Occupational Health Conference (OCHCON) 2025 concluded successfully at the Grand Ballroom, Bangi Resort Hotel, drawing professionals, academics, regulators, and industry players under the theme “The Future of OSH: Trends and Transformation in Occupational Health (OH) – Ergonomics Hazards.”
Held on 17 and 18 September, the two-day conference attracted more than 100 in-person participants and over 400 online attendees via Zoom.
The event served as a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, discussions, and forward-looking insights into ergonomics and workplace health.
The conference began with welcoming remarks by Prof. Ts. Dr. Zalizah Awang Long, Deputy President of Student Development & Campus Lifestyle, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), who emphasised the need for organisations to adopt future-ready strategies in addressing occupational health challenges.

OCHCON 2025 featured a notable lineup of expert speakers from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies, including representatives from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP); Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (MESTECH); Malaysian Occupational Health Practitioners Association (MOHPA); Industrial Hygiene & Ergonomics Division, DOSH Malaysia; Salam Alliance Sdn Bhd (Occupational Health Doctor); Independent experts in OSHE & Ergonomics; and LETrace KYNS, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Training Centre.
Their sessions offered valuable perspectives on emerging ergonomics trends, workplace well-being strategies, and the transformative role of technology in shaping occupational health.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in discussions on best practices, case studies, and practical approaches to advancing ergonomics in the workplace.
The event also provided opportunities for networking and collaboration among practitioners, researchers, and policymakers, supporting Malaysia’s wider goal of fostering safer, healthier, and more resilient work environments across industries.
