Celebrating the second year of receiving substantial contributions from the SDEP YPM sponsored by EKUINAS, the occasion symbolized a collaborative effort towards nurturing academic excellence and personal growth among UniKL students. A generous sum of RM 25,000 was allocated, with each of the 10 selected students from various UniKL campuses including UniKL Ubis, UniKL Mestech, UniKL MFI, UniKL MIAT, UniKL MICET, UniKL MIDI, UniKL MIIT, UniKL MIMET, UniKL RCMP, and UniKL MITEC, being granted RM 2,500.
The eligibility criteria for receiving this educational lifeline were meticulously crafted, ensuring that qualified individuals of Malay/Bumiputera descent, with family incomes below RM 3,500, and currently pursuing studies at the undergraduate level in semester 1 (September 2023 intake), are given the opportunity to thrive academically.
Deputy President of Student Development & Campus Lifestyle, Prof. Ts. Dr. Zalizah Awang Long, delivered an inspiring speech during the ceremony, emphasizing that the contribution provided by EKUINAS through YPM transcends mere financial aid, serving as an investment in holistic human development. She encouraged the students to continue striving for academic excellence and comprehensive self-development.
“We hope you can appreciate every opportunity given and use this contribution wisely. With this contribution, it is hoped that it can somewhat alleviate the burden of UniKL students living on campus. Keep up your efforts, pursue your dreams, and be pioneers in the development and progress of our country,” said Prof. Ts. Dr. Zalizah Awang Long, addressing all the students present at the event.
