A young Malaysian from Kuantan, Pahang, is making waves in the aerospace industry after securing a prestigious six-month final-year industrial internship at global aviation giant Airbus SAS in France.
Danial Hakim Shamsul Hikma is currently undergoing his industrial training with Airbus SAS, a dream placement for many engineering students worldwide. His achievement reflects not only academic excellence but also his strong passion for aeronautics and industrial engineering.
According to Danial Hakim, the opportunity aligns closely with his long-standing interest in the aerospace field and provides him with invaluable hands-on exposure to real-world industry practices.
“This opportunity is not only a major achievement for me, but also a platform to continuously challenge myself and gain as much knowledge as possible in the field I am passionate about,” he said.
Based on a Facebook sharing by MARA Frankfurt, Danial Hakim is a recipient of the Young Talent Development Programme (YTP MARA), under Malaysia’s Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). He began his academic journey at Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Kuantan, where his academic foundation was first established.
He later pursued Foundation in Engineering at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian France Institute (UniKL MFI) before continuing his studies in France.
Danial Hakim then advanced to the IUT d’Aix-Marseille, where he completed a Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie (DUT) in Génie Mécanique et Productique from 2021 to 2023.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering at Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM) (2023–2026), further strengthening his expertise in Quality & Performance Industrielle as well as Logistics & Industrial Organisation.
His academic and industrial journey reflects a strong commitment to developing global-level competencies in engineering and industrial systems.
The YTP MARA programme is an educational sponsorship initiative under MARA designed to support high-achieving SPM leavers in pursuing studies from foundation level through to undergraduate degrees, both locally and abroad.
Under the programme, students are given the opportunity to study at selected institutions with financial assistance in the form of a convertible loan, which may be partially or fully waived based on academic performance.
