Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) brought lecturers, staff and students together through Treasure Hunt MIIT: Decode the Unknown, an interactive campus activity designed to strengthen teamwork, communication and connections within the university community.
Organised as part of the UniKL MIIT Wellness Carnival 5.0, in conjunction with Counselling Month, the programme highlighted the importance of student and staff wellbeing, social engagement and a supportive learning environment beyond the classroom.
The treasure hunt challenged participants to work collaboratively to solve clues and complete tasks at various locations within the UniKL MIIT building.
Each challenge encouraged teamwork, creative thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving in an engaging, enjoyable setting.

Beyond providing an opportunity for friendly competition, the activity enabled participants from different academic and professional backgrounds to interact, exchange ideas and build stronger relationships across the campus community.
The programme also featured an energetic Zumba session, promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles, followed by a potluck gathering where participants shared food and enjoyed informal interactions.
The combination of recreational, physical and social activities reflected UniKL MIIT’s holistic approach to campus wellbeing, recognising the role of meaningful interpersonal connections in creating a positive university experience.
The event was attended by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Nizam Husen, Dean of UniKL MIIT, alongside members of the institute’s management team, demonstrating institutional support for initiatives that encourage active participation and strengthen relationships among students and employees.

Through initiatives such as the Wellness Carnival, UniKL continues to promote a university environment that values collaboration, personal development and community engagement alongside academic and professional excellence.
The programme also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), through its emphasis on physical activity, social wellbeing and positive campus experiences, and SDG 4 (Quality Education), by encouraging the development of transferable skills such as teamwork, communication and critical thinking.
