Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institute (Universiti Kuala Lumpur MSI) is strengthening efforts to promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) among tahfiz students through its “UniKL MSI Berselawat” programme, an initiative that brings together spiritual enrichment and technical education awareness in Kulim.
The programme, held with the participation of local tahfiz students from around the Kulim district, aligns with national aspirations under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) to encourage the development of huffaz technologists.
These students are both Quranic memorisers and skilled technical professionals.

Led by Sayyid Muhammad Sayyid Muhammad Aqiel Al-Mahdaly, Mudir of Ribath Al-Mukhtar littafaqquh Fiddien, the event also brought together UniKL MSI students, academic staff, and senior management.
Also in attendance was the Dean and Head of Campus of UniKL MSI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohd Nizam Ahmad.
Beyond its spiritual dimension, the programme served as a strategic platform to introduce tahfiz students to the opportunities within TVET education.
By hosting the initiative at a technical university campus, UniKL MSI highlighted that strong religious foundations can coexist with and complement technical and engineering competencies.
