“The exposure to real industry practices, especially in digital marketing and AI, has given us a strong foundation to start our own ventures,” said the President of the Student Entrepreneurship Association at UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP), Khairunnisa Batrisyia Mohd Zamre, in reference to the Pemerkasaan Usahawan Digital programme.
Her perspective reflects a broader trend among students who are increasingly inclined towards entrepreneurship, particularly when equipped with strong foundational knowledge and digital competencies.
“This programme is highly beneficial in shaping students’ mindset towards entrepreneurship,” she added.

Khairunnisa Batrisyia was among 213 participants who took part in the Pemerkasaan Usahawan Digital programme, jointly organised by UniKL RCMP and Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM) on 25 April 2026.
The one-day initiative brought together students and representatives from UniKL RCMP, UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Ipoh, and Kolej Vokasional Ipoh.

The programme aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in digital entrepreneurship, aligning with current industry demands and the rapidly evolving digital economy.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in structured modules covering business ideation, digital marketing strategies, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and product photography.
The sessions were conducted by the invited speaker Encik Mohd Haziq Azfar Othman from SME Bank, who shared insights on identifying viable business ideas, creating impactful social media content, leveraging AI tools for marketing, and producing professional-quality product visuals.
Also present was YBhg. Encik Mohamad Isa Chik, Senior Director of the Training and Leadership Division at YPM.
