Students from the Bachelor of Fashion Design with Marketing programme were given the opportunity to join the backstage crew at Zalora Raya 2025, one of Malaysia’s most highly anticipated fashion events.
This hands-on experience immersed them in the fast-paced world of fashion event management, where they gained firsthand insights into styling, garment preparation, and runway coordination while working alongside industry professionals.
Their contributions were crucial in ensuring a seamless production, from dressing models to managing last-minute outfit adjustments.
Nur Shafiqah Muhamad Shafei, a second-year student, emphasised the value of the experience.
“This opportunity is invaluable as it equips us with practical skills beyond the classroom.
“We get to witness how a major fashion event unfolds while applying our knowledge in a real-world setting,” she said.
As part of UniKL MIDI’s commitment to experiential learning, this collaboration with Zalora not only enhanced students’ technical skills and teamwork but also expanded their industry networks.
