In a significant step towards fostering international educational cooperation, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Pariwisata Indonesia (STIEPARI) Semarang have reaffirmed their commitment by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on August 25th, 2023.
STIEPARI, the prominent higher education institution formerly known as Akpari Sarang, holds the distinction of being the largest college institution in Central Java, having been established in 1970.
This renewed MoA signifies a continuation of the collaboration between UniKL and STIEPARI, which originally began with an MoU signed in September 2016.
UniKL and STIEPARI have a history of educational exchange, including hosting inbound students from each other’s institutions.
In the past, UniKL has welcomed 4 inbound students from STIEPARI for a full semester between September 2017 and January 2018, while simultaneously sending 2 outbound students to STIEPARI.
The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both institutions. The Acting President/Chief Executive Officer of UniKL, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin and the Director of UniKL International Office (UIO), Dr. Nadia Razali, represented UniKL. STIEPARI was represented by its Head, Haniek Listyorini.
STIEPARI offers a comprehensive array of programmes, including a Diploma-3 with a focus on Hospitality and Tourism, a Master’s S-1 with study programmes in Hospitality Management and Pariwisata Management, as well as a Postgraduate Single (S-2) offering the Hospitality Management Magister Study Programme and the Pariwisata Management Magister Study Programme.
