An engagement session between Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa was held yesterday, where a possible collaboration was extensively discussed.
Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa – one of Türkiye’s top public universities was represented by its Rector, Prof. Dr. Nuri Aydın and its Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bilgin.
UniKL, meanwhile was represented by its Chief Marketing and Planning Officer (CMPO), Dato’ Amir Azhar Ibrahim; Covering Deputy President (International, Industrial & Institutional Partnership), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulhafiz Tajudin and Director of UniKL International Office (UIO), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zalhan Mohd Zin.
In a bid to lead enduring bonds between both institutions and nations, the discussion explored ways to develop their partnership, especially in joint research and student exchange areas.
For the record, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa was previously part of Istanbul University before becoming independent in 2018.
At UniKL, UIO plays a significant role in facilitating the development of international partnerships with academic institutions across the globe.
This is achieved through bilateral agreements and participation in international networks and events.
