Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian France Institute (UniKL MFI) has once again demonstrated its excellence in robotics and engineering by clinching two podium spots at the DJI Robomaster Challenge 2025, held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Represented by its student-led Robotique Society, UniKL MFI rose to the occasion by securing second and third place among the six teams from leading Malaysian universities.
Organised by the Autonomous Robot & Vision System Club (ARVIS) from UKM’s Faculty of Information Science and Technology, the event tested participants’ capabilities in autonomous robotics, machine vision, and strategic programming.
This year’s accomplishment marks UniKL MFI’s second consecutive year placing second at the competition.
The second-place team received RM200 and a certificate of achievement, while the third-place team took home RM100 and a certificate.
“This achievement wasn’t just about rankings — it was the result of months of hard work, creative thinking, technical mastery, and solid teamwork.
“Competing at this level was no easy feat, and we’re incredibly proud of how our students rose to the occasion and represented UniKL MFI with excellence,” said Dr. Siti Norhafiza, club advisor and Deputy Dean of Student Development and Campus Lifestyle (SDCL) at UniKL MFI.
