“He showed subtle signs and became more affectionate towards his parents,” said Abdul Manap, recalling the days before his son, Abdul Hafiz Fikri Abdul Manap, passed away due to chronic asthma.
He and his wife could not hold back their tears as they received the diploma scroll on behalf of their late son during the final session of Universiti Kuala Lumpur’s (UniKL) 22nd Convocation Ceremony.
“It is a big loss for us, especially since he was our youngest son, the closest to us.
“I can only say that what we have now is all for our late son.

“I pray for him always, and we often visit his grave. That is all we can do now,” said Abdul Manap.
Abdul Hafiz Fikri passed away just a few days before sitting for his final examination paper for the Diploma in Industrial Logistics at UniKL Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC).
According to Abdul Manap, his late son was a kind-hearted person and deeply attached to his siblings.
“It affected us deeply because he was our youngest. Among his siblings, he was the one who always helped everyone. It is truly a big loss to the whole family,” he said.
The late Abdul Hafiz Fikri was posthumously honoured among the 6,872 graduates celebrated during UniKL’s five-day Convocation Ceremony for the Class of 2025.
