Ainin Sofea Lyndley, an alumna of Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), has been honoured with the Excellence Award at the 36th Annual Dinner of the Malaysia Joint Branch RINA–IMarEST held on 25 October.
The Malaysia Joint Branch RINA–IMarEST continues to uphold its mission of promoting awareness in science, technology, and engineering within the local maritime sector.

Soon to graduate with a Bachelor of Marine Engineering Technology at UniKL’s 22nd Convocation Ceremony, Ainin Sofea was recognised for her exceptional academic performance and commitment to excellence, having earned the Dean’s List Award every semester.
During her studies at UniKL MIMET, she was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, particularly in university social responsibility programmes such as Titian Kasih UniKL MIMET and Kits for Kids.

She also served as Project Director for Malaysia Maritime Week 2023 (MMW23) and the UniKL MIMET Maritime Career Exposition 2023.
Upon completing her bachelor’s degree, Ainin Sofea now serves as the Director and Engineer at Chemtech Water Technology and Tekchem Water Technology, as well as one of the Managing Partners of a newly established company, Lyndex Engineering Technology, which provides engineering services to both national and international clients.
