Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) has introduced a specialised professional information technology (IT) programme designed to equip Huffaz with digital skills and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The initiative, which begins on 8 October 2025, offers two tracks which are Multimedia and Information Systems, and is targeted at Huffaz aged 18 to 25 who have memorised at least 10 juzuk of the Al-Quran.
The programme is open to those from B40 households, regardless of their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results or academic background.
According to UniKL MIIT, the primary objective is to provide Huffaz with an alternative pathway to thrive as technopreneurs while nurturing their spiritual connection to the Quran.
“This one-year programme is not only a learning journey but also a stepping stone towards personal growth and a fulfilling career in IT,” the institute said in a statement.
One of the unique features of the programme is its inclusion of internationally recognised professional certifications from Adobe, Unity, CISCO, and EC-Council.
Upon completion, graduates will also receive either a Huffaz Professional (Multimedia) or Huffaz Professional (Information Systems) certificate from UniKL.
Each participant will be provided with a laptop to support their training and enable them to explore gig business opportunities, such as developing Islamic educational content.
This practical exposure is expected to build confidence, entrepreneurial skills, and the mindset needed to grow sustainable ventures that integrate technology with Islamic values.
Registration for the programme is still open at http://bit.ly/44uum47
