A total of 42 Civil Defence Student Corps (Kor SISPA) Cadet Officers from Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) have been commissioned with the rank of Second Lieutenant.
They were honoured during the 16th National Graduation and Commissioning Parade of Kor SISPA, held on 16 August at Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam.
The commissioning ceremony was graced by Her Royal Highness Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin.

Also present were YAB Dato’ Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW); Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Higher Education; and Honorary Commissioner (PA) Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, President of UniKL and Commander of the UniKL SISPA Corps.
In this historic event, Her Royal Highness also presented the Best SISPA Cadet Officer Award to 24 outstanding Cadet Officers representing their respective Higher Education Institutions (IPT).

At the same ceremony, Second Lieutenant (PA) Muhammad Hazim Akmal Mohd Sokri from UniKL Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC) was named Best SISPA Cadet Officer of UniKL.
“By joining the SISPA Corps, I not only gained knowledge and skills in civil defence, but also developed self-identity, discipline, and invaluable experiences for the future,” he said.
In total, 918 Cadet Officers from 24 IPT nationwide were commissioned, comprising 850 conferred with the rank of Second Lieutenant and 68 with the rank of Junior Staff Officer (SM).
