Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School (UniKL BIS) emerged as the overall champion at the UniKL Student Sports Carnival (USSC) 2025, ending a six-year title drought.
With an impressive haul of five gold, two silver, and two bronze medals, UniKL BIS also put a stop to UniKL Malaysian Spanish Institute’s (UniKL MSI) championship streak, which had lasted since 2022.
The results were announced during the closing ceremony of USSC 2025 held at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC) on 17 July 2025.

The event was officiated by the Director-General of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), YBhg. Dato’ Zulfikri Osman.
As champions, UniKL BIS took home the Challenge Trophy and a sports development incentive worth RM50,000.
Host campus UniKL MITEC, which finished as runner-up, received RM20,000, while UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI), in third place, was awarded RM10,000.

Medals and accompanying trophies were also presented for each sporting category.
The carnival brought together over 1,476 athletes, supported by 456 officials and 200 volunteers from 12 UniKL campuses.

A total of 13 sports were contested, including football, netball, volleyball, futsal, badminton, tennis, chess, and seven-a-side rugby.
As the host, UniKL MITEC successfully delivered a well-organised event following the official regulations set by the University Sports Council Committee. The 20th edition of the carnival will be hosted by UniKL BMI in 2026.
