The much-anticipated Sukan Staf Universiti Kuala Lumpur (SSUK) has made a comeback after a 10-year hiatus, featuring seven games, including three newly introduced sports: Petanque, Chess, and Volleyball.
The existing games, Football, Netball, Badminton, and Bowling, remain a staple of the event.
This year’s competition will see the participation of 702 athletes from 12 campuses and the Chancellery.
The event, set to take place from January 10 to 14, 2025, will be hosted at the UniKL Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) in Dengkil.
A total of 13 contingents are competing this year, an increase from 2015, when the Chancellery contingent was combined with UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT).
The contingents are divided into four groups, in which Team A consists of UniKL Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI), UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI), and UniKL Business School (UBIS).
Team B comprises UniKL Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), UniKL Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI), and the Chancellery.
Team C includes UniKL Malaysian Institute of Chemical & Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET), UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP), and UniKL Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT).
Lastly, Team D features UniKL British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI), UniKL Institute of Medical Science Technology (UniKL MESTECH), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC), and UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT).
SSUK 2025 promises to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among staff while celebrating the vibrant community spirit of UniKL.
